This painting, Invasion of spring, was started as a live painting in acrylic and later brought back to the studio and finished in oils.

In this painting there is something stirring in the energy of the changing seasons. As summer is winding down and the autumn leaves have already begun to fall, strange blue flowers invade and glow with promise of a better future. The central hornets nest is torn and breaking apart, long abandon and now home to a host of transients that are unable to build their own home with such craftsmanship as the tiny creatures who once worked together to make such a marvel.
