Tips on Becoming a Full Time Artist (video)

Sometimes people ask what it takes to make art full time. This short talk aims to shed some light on that.

I’ve been a full time artist, without pause for the last 7 years, and off and on since 2011. I come from a career in the video game industry where I worked since I was about 21 until I was 37 when I first decided to step away from that career and pursue art. What I don’t tell you in this video is that when I quit I had a good savings to help me get going. But if you don’t have a savings, the advice in this video is still valid.
